Green Rail Route

Sizewell C will begin preparation works to enable the archaeology works to commence at Buckleswood Road, ahead of the construction of the Green Rail Route compound later this year.

In order to create a safe working environment at the location, we will create a bell-mouth entrance and a welfare compound for our workers to conduct the archaeological works. The compound will consist of car parking, portacabin style facilities and safe walking.

There will be traffic management in place whilst the creation of the bell-mouth entrance is created.

These works are due to commence on 20 August 2024 and will take approximately 5 weeks.

Archaeology works will then commence the week of 21 September 2024.
