We will be removing vegetation from the sites across the project to create access points for the main development site and associated developments of Sizewell C.

Vegetation will be cleared at various locations across the main development site, including adjacent to Lover’s Lane, Abbey Road, Eastbridge Road and Buckleswood Road.

These works will take place between the end of September and March 2025.

All necessary work will be carried out under supervision of an Ecological Clerk of Works, including surveys for nesting birds, bats and badgers, which will be carried out in accordance with protected species licence conditions, where they apply. Where possible, this vegetation was coppiced earlier this year to discourage birds from nesting and to encourage reptiles to translocate to new habitats.

Some traffic management will be required, but there will be no full road closures or diversions.
